Fremed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company

Mr. Trang Van Tot founded Glomed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in 2006. After Abbott fully acquired Glomed in 2016, he continued his investment in the pharmaceutical sector by establishing Fremed Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in 2018. The factory was completed in November 2021 and subsequently received approval from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health under WHO guidelines in March 2022. Adhering to EU-GMP standards, Fremed successfully underwent inspection and is poised to achieve EU-GMP certification in Q2 2025. Our manufacturing plant is located in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City, covering a total area of 20,000 m².

Fremed’s primary objective is to safeguard public health, which continuously drives the company to enhance technology and develop a diverse range of high-quality medicines at competitive prices, thereby contributing to the growth of Vietnam’s pharmaceutical market.

History of development

1995

Founded in 1995, Cam Tu Pharmaceutical Company initially focused on distributing European medicines. Over the years, the company expanded its product portfolio by sourcing from various countries, thereby establishing a strong reputation in the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market.

2006

Glomed established its manufacturing plant in 2006, equipped with high-quality machinery for pharmaceutical production. Within six years, the company built a strong reputation in the Vietnamese pharmaceutical market, renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation.

2013

In March 2013, Glomed achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the 60th position in Vietnam’s Fast 500 list, a testament to the company’s rapid growth and expanding influence in the pharmaceutical industry.

2016

Abbott successfully acquired 100% of Glomed’s shares.

2018

Fremed Pharmaceutical Company was established in 2018, adhering to EU-GMP standards.

2022

In March 2022, Fremed received WHO-GMP certification from the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

2025

Fremed is expected to receive EU-GMP certification by mid-2025.
